SAVE THE DATE : C-mine brings the Tilda Swinton exhibition to Genk in spring 2027
From 25 February to 25 July 2027, C-mine in Genk will present Ongoing, an exclusive exhibition dedicated to the acclaimed Scottish actor, artist, and style icon Tilda Swinton.
Following its presentations in Amsterdam, Athens, and Warsaw, Genk will be the exhibition’s final European stop before it travels on to Asia and the United States. As such, it will also be the last opportunity to experience Ongoing in Europe.
Ongoing is a personal and multifaceted project in which Tilda Swinton highlights her long-standing artistic collaborations. Bringing together installations, film, photography, performance, and new artistic works, the exhibition demonstrates how collaboration lies at the heart of her creative practice.
Filmmakers Derek Jarman, Joanna Hogg, Luca Guadagnino, Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Jim Jarmusch, and Pedro Almodóvar, alongside photographer Tim Walker and fashion historian and curator Olivier Saillard, form part of this network of voices and creators.
Together, they demonstrate how cinema is not only a place for storytelling, but also a space for experimentation, reflection, mourning, and protest—a place where artists find, challenge, and inspire one another. This exhibition is therefore not a traditional retrospective, but a moment of gathering and celebration: an invitation to view creation as a collective practice.

About Tilda Swinton
Tilda Swinton is a Scottish actor and artist renowned for her groundbreaking roles and long-standing artistic collaborations. Since her breakthrough in the films of Derek Jarman, she has developed a rich and eclectic body of work at the intersection of cinema, performance, fashion, and visual art.
She has appeared in films such as Orlando, Only Lovers Left Alive, Suspiria, We Need to Talk About Kevin, and The Eternal Daughter, collaborating throughout her career with some of the world's most acclaimed filmmakers.
Tilda Swinton is particularly celebrated for her transformative screen performances, intellectual rigor, and bold, experimental approach to cinema.
