Art Brussels 2025 (24–27 April 2025, Brussels Expo) once again confirmed its standing as one of Europe’s leading contemporary art fairs. With an exceptional line-up of 165 galleries from around the world and a strong focus on artistic discovery, curated projects, and emerging talents, this 41st edition could count on fantastic energy, a varied offering and many strong sales to a diverse collector’s audience. The fair attracted 24.776 visitors, and welcomed a highly international audience of collectors, curators, and art enthusiasts, further solidifying Brussels’ reputation as a key hub for the European art community.

At the fair, galleries presented expertly curated booths and a unique mix of established and emerging talent across five distinct sections: Prime (for mid-career and established artists), Discovery (emerging artists), '68 Forward (artist creating between 1968 and 2000), Solo (solo artist presentations), and Invited (galleries challenging the traditional gallery model).

Visitors and collectors particularly appreciated the strong solo presentations and the new ‘68 forward section, which reintroduced important voices to a contemporary audience by presenting works made in the period since the start of the fair until now.

For the third year in a row, Art Brussels took place at Brussels Expo, in the Art Deco icon built as from September 1933 opposite the Atomium. The grandeur of this iconic venue contributed to the atmosphere and great experience of the fair and its visitors. Art Brussels is therefore pleased to announce that the next edition will also take place at Brussels Expo, from Thursday 23 to Sunday 26 April 2026. Set against the backdrop of a city renowned for its rich collecting tradition, Art Brussels 2025 once again captivated art lovers and professionals alike with its vibrant energy and cultural significance.

“On Thursday, Art Brussels raised the curtain in style with a beautiful in-situ installation by Céline Condorelli (artist represented by Galeria Vera Cortês, Lisbon) that set the stage for an exceptional opening of the 41st edition of Art Brussels. We were thrilled to welcome a remarkably international audience, with 30% of our preview visitors coming from abroad. The atmosphere in the aisles was vibrant and positive, leading to sales across the fair for upcoming and established galleries, despite the uncertain state of the art market and the geopolitical context. Collectors praised unanimously the quality of the presentations, the welcoming atmosphere, and the richness of the content programme, both inside the fair and at our extra muros events. Art Brussels has clearly built a true community of passionate art lovers.”
– Nele Verhaeren, Director of Art Brussels
“Art Brussels is always close to our hearts, as it celebrates the city we call home. This year felt all the more special with a solo presentation by Walter Swennen, one of Belgium’s most iconic and influential artists. The response to his work was rewarding and a beautiful reminder of the strength of Walter’s practice and the vibrant spirit of our city’s community.”
– Xavier Hufkens, Xavier Hufkens (Brussels)
“Art Brussels was a great experience for us this year as already on the first day of the fair we had sold half of the paintings of our artist Adam Lupton we showed at our booth and the following days we sold the rest of them. Among our customers were collectors from Germany, Belgium, Denmark and Poland. All in all the audience of the fair was very international.”
– Russi Klenner, Galerie Russi Klenner (Berlin)
“We’re very pleased with the energy and attendance of the fair. It’s been a pleasure to welcome such a strong mix of engaged collectors, both from the vibrant local scene and from abroad. We’ve had great conversations with familiar faces as well as with many new collectors discovering our program.”
– Gwenvael Launay, Partner and Brussels Gallery Director, Almine Rech (Brussels)

Collectors highly appreciated the size of the fair, the ambiance, the high number of solo presentations and the unique mix of established artists and emerging talent.

“I found Art Brussels 2025 to be an excellent fair: perfectly suited to Belgium and Brussels. I saw many happy people, a lot of good and affordable art, and a lot of enthusiasm and passion from both local and international collectors as well as gallerists. The organisation of the fair was also TOP! So, on to the next edition. I’m a fan!”
— Joost Vanhaerents, Vanhaerents Art Collection
“There was truly an extraordinary energy at Art Brussels this year! It's always such a joy to discover new works and add them to my collection.”
— Alain Verleysen, Belgian collector
"As an art lover and collector, it was, as always, a great pleasure to visit Art Brussels! In a monumental location, immersing yourself for several days amidst the best that contemporary art and the many national and international galleries have to offer is truly a delight! All of this is made possible by an amazing organisation, a 'dream team' for whom nothing is too much, and where, as a 'VIP guest,' you are truly pampered; wonderful events, an attractive VIP programme, inspiring panel discussions, and accommodation in an excellent hotel.
Personal highlights for me this year were the galleries Harlan Levey, Pizza Gallery, Kristof de Clercq (Peter Morrens!), Hopstreet Gallery, P420 Bologna, Ani Molnar Budapest, and Go Mulan Amsterdam. I am therefore very pleased with the artworks I was able to purchase from a number of these galleries!
A big thank you to Art Brussels for the perfect organisation and the always delightful energy of this contemporary art fair. I’m already looking forward to next year!"

— Casper van der Kruk – Dutch collector

The fair both benefited from and contributed to the vibrancy of Brussels art scene, which was further highlighted by numerous exhibitions in partner institutions. At BOZAR, visitors could experience “When We See Us: A Century of Black Figuration in Painting” alongside an exhibition of new works by BelgianArtPrize 2025 recipient Suchan Kinoshita. Meanwhile, WIELS presented “OBSTAKLES,” a major survey of Dutch artist Willem Oorebeek, and “Patuá/Patois,” a solo exhibition by Brazilian artist Paulo Nazareth. Additionally, Brussels-based galleries participated in a lively Gallery Night on the eve of the fair’s opening, welcoming visitors on Wednesday 23 April from 6 to 9 PM.

With the generous support of its main partners, Delen Private Bank and Bank Van Breda, Art Brussels has cemented its role in the city of Brussels as a platform for international contemporary art, firmly positioned at the heart of the capital’s art scene.

KickCancer breaks record and raises over 100.000 euros

KickCancer, which works on behalf of children with cancer, raised more than 100,000 euros from a charity sale of works of art organised at Art Brussels. It was ‘a record’ for this third edition of ‘The KickCancer Collection’. This year, the initiative took the form of a ‘moving’ wall of postcard-sized works within the fair. Two hundred artists from the particiating galleries contributed to this wall under the guidance of Bozar's Director of Exhibitions, Zoë Gray, who curated this edition. Presented anonymously, these creations were each sold for 400 euros. The name of the author was revealed after the purchase, while the wall evolved as sales increased. All proceeds from The KickCancer Collection go to the foundation of the same name, which works to fund research into finding new cancer treatments and improving existing ones.
