Muller Van Severen x OFFICE KGDVS x BD Barcelona

Muller Van Severen presents a new collection together with OFFICE Kersten Geers David Van Severen for BD Barcelona: RASTERS, a series of cabinets and paravents.

The collaboration between Muller Van Severen, OFFICE KGDVS and BD Barcelona is grounded in a shared formal language that draws from sculpture and architecture to transcend mere utility.

RASTERS originates from a simple yet powerful concept: using an industrial grid commonly employed in architecture as the structural basis for a family of modular paravents and cabinets. However, after recognizing the environmental impact of the original material, the team replaced it with natural varnished solid beech, combined with veneered beech MDF shelves and powder-coated steel for the doors, back panels, drawers, and paravent elements. This shift not only enhances the collection’s sustainability but also introduces new aesthetic and strategic flexibility. The black polyamide injection-moulded connectors take advantage of the grid, allowing installation wherever needed, and enabling the system to grow horizontally without limit. Balancing natural wood with colored metal, Muller Van Severen brings their signature chromatic sensitivity, creating pieces that are friendly, light, and emotionally engaging. Designed as a modular furniture system, RASTERS responds to contemporary needs for organization and spatial division, combining timeless aesthetics with functionality and durability to seamlessly adapt to domestic, work, and hybrid office environments. Muller Van Severen x valerie_objects

Muller Van Severen developed a series of new objects in collaboration with design label valerie_objects to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the brand. This choice is far from coincidental: Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen were the first designers to create a collection for the brand. The new additions include both outdoor and indoor furniture, building on Muller Van Severen’s now-iconic visual language: artistic and sculptural designs where functional forms blend with art, color, and materiality.

  • Lighting by Muller Van Severen
Muller Van Severen is reissuing the hanging lamps – a lighting icon – alongside the new standing lamp marble. This highly anticipated floor lamp with a marble base has everything it takes to become a design classic: the unmistakable Muller Van Severen aesthetic paired with a rich material.
  • Alu stools by Muller Van Severen
Following the success of the alu chair, Muller Van Severen is now launching the alu stool. This stool was developed in collaboration valerie_objects and Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) for the lounge bar of their headquarters. The result is a cross-pollination between the alu chair and Ingels’ love for geometry. The alu stool, featuring an aluminum frame and lacquered seat, is available in three heights and four colors that perfectly match the existing palette of the alu collection.
  • Outdoor rocking chair & solo seat by Muller Van Severen
A new edition of the existing rocking chair and solo seat is also being released, now available in an outdoor version. Both the frame and seat are made of high-quality, weather-resistant materials, making the chairs ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. The design – like a light sketch in space – brings together color, form, and material in a modern and timeless expression.

Muller Van Severen x Blēo

Muller Van Severen presents the first collection of tiles for Blēo, the colour paint company that is expanding into tiles. Known for their sculptural approach and expressive use of colour, Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen bring their unique sensibility to a set of 12 handmade tiles, produced using traditional techniques in Fez, Morocco. Each tile in the collection is crafted by hand — irregular in shape, finished with a high-gloss glaze, and full of variation in tone. The palette, developed by Muller Van Severen, reflects their signature balance of boldness and subtlety: colours that invite attention, yet remain quietly refined.

Muller Van Severen x HAY

The Perforated Cabinet is the latest addition to the ongoing collaboration with HAY.

Known for their bold use of colour and sculptural approach to furniture, Muller Van Severen are introducing the Perforated Cabinet - a take on storage that rethinks utility through the lens of structure, transparency, and form. Made from powder- coated steel and characterised by a grid of perforated holes, the design strikes a balance between concealment and display. The semi- transparent surface subtly veils its contents while keeping them visually accessible - a functional hybrid between open shelving and a closed cabinet. Available in wall-mounted and floor-standing variants, and offered in a variety of colours and sizes, the Perforated Cabinet brings colour and character to the art of keeping things in order.

Available from August.

Muller Van Severen

Founded in early Spring 2011 by Belgian artists Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen, Muller Van Severen explore the intersection of sculpture and functional objects through their sculptural furniture designs. Their work engages with space and architecture, reflecting a blend of art and materiality.

Over the past 15 years, Muller Van Severen have cultivated a body of work that aims to rethink furniture design, moving away from familiar forms without introducing unnecessary distractions. The result of their dialogue between form, space and possibilities of use manifests itself in several collections that propose a reinterpretation of the interaction with the environment.

Muller Van Severen create both own collections - all handmade by small-scale fabricators and skilled artisans - as well as designs for brands such as Hay, BD Barcelona Design, Zanotta, valerie_objects and Kvadrat. Having won numerous awards and exhibitions in museums and galleries worldwide (Musée des Arts Décoratifs Paris, Galerie Kreo, Massimo De Carlo, Andreas Murkudis, Tim Van Laere Gallery), Muller Van Severen is considered one of the most iconic European design studios today. Their work is part of several public collections such as Vitra Design Museum (DE), Centre Pompidou (FR), Le Grand-Hornu (BE), Musée des Arts Décoratifs (FR), Design Museum Gent (BE) and CNAP, Centre National des Arts Plastiques (FR).
