Muller Van Severen launches a webshop, showroom and two new collections with HAY and BD Barcelona x KASSL
Acclaimed design duo Muller Van Severen, celebrated as one of the most renowned and pioneering creative voices of their generation, announce the launch of their first official webshop alongside the opening of a new showroom in October 2025.
For more than a decade, Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen have blurred the boundaries between art and design, creating pieces that are as sculptural as they are functional. Their work, exhibited in leading galleries and institutions worldwide, is instantly recognizable for its bold use of color, material, and form — and has earned them a place at the forefront of contemporary design.
With the launch of the webshop, design enthusiasts across the globe can now purchase Muller Van Severen’s pieces directly from the creators themselves. All pieces of their own collections are handmade by small-scale fabricators and skilled artisans in Belgium and finished and shipped from their atelier.
Complementing the webshop, Muller Van Severen will open a new showroom in October 2025. Located just outside Ghent (Belgium), the space will be accessible by appointment only, allowing visitors an intimate setting to experience the pieces in person. The showroom invites collectors, architects, and admirers alike to engage with Muller Van Severen’s world firsthand.

KASSL Editions and BD Barcelona announce the relaunch of Muller Van Severen's Pillow Sofa in KASSL’s signature lacquer cotton fabric.
Originally conceived in 2021 as a transformation of the iconic Pillow Bag by KASSL Editions, the design by Muller Van Severen brings that same spirit of freedom and adaptability to the world of furniture. The sofa is composed of independent, colourful cushions connected by integrated bands on a tubular steel frame.
The new Pillow Sofa remains true to its contemporary design and ingenious construction while evolving through structural improvements, refined details, and new materials. BD Barcelona has reimagined the piece with a simplified modular system and optimised assembly, enhancing its bold silhouette and playful character. Made in Barcelona, it is now available in six fabrics – leather, velvet, canvas, cotton, lacquer cotton, and corduroy – with a vibrant palette of colours. The latest addition is the black lacquer cotton, launching this year.
Lacquer Cotton is one of KASSL Editions’ most recognisable materials. Originally developed from production offcuts, it became an icon through the Pillow Bag. Known for its tactile surface and durability, lacquer coated cotton embodies the brand’s commitment to democratic design, radical quality, and timeless appeal, transcending styles, genders, and generations.

Muller Van Severen x HAY
The Perforated Cabinet is the latest addition to the ongoing collaboration with HAY.
Known for their bold use of colour and sculptural approach to furniture, Muller Van Severen are introducing the Perforated Cabinet - a take on storage that rethinks utility through the lens of structure, transparency, and form.
Made from powder- coated steel and characterised by a grid of perforated holes, the design strikes a balance between concealment and display. The semi- transparent surface subtly veils its contents while keeping them visually accessible - a functional hybrid between open shelving and a closed cabinet.
Available in wall-mounted and floor-standing variants, and offered in a variety of colours and sizes, the Perforated Cabinet brings colour and character to the art of keeping things in order.
