KØGE Design is launching a new lamp in collaboration with Imprécis

The first edition designed in collaboration with an external designer is inspired by the boxing ring.

KØGE Design — a Belgian design label founded in 2023 by Hadrien Bindels — is launching the Boxing Ring Lamp 081, a minimalist lamp designed in collaboration with Brussels-based architect Matthieu Doucet (founder of the Imprécis label and one of the founder of the architecture practice Bim Bam Boum Studio).

This piece marks an important milestone for KØGE: it is the very first edition created in collaboration with an external designer.

Its name references the boxing ring, symbolised by a silicone cord subtly wrapped around the stainless-steel structure. The lamp is composed of two layers: an inner structure inspired by Japanese paper and an outer structure accentuated by the distinctive cord.

This lamp embodies what KØGE stands for: a blend of the timeless purity of Japanese aesthetics, Scandinavian elegance, and a bold Belgian flair.

More than a functional object, the Boxing Ring Lamp 081 strikes a balance between precision, softness, and strength — a remarkable design defined by its sculptural presence and high level of craftsmanship.

A “Less is More” philosophy

KØGE, founded in 2023 by Hadrien Bindels, designs functional furniture—chairs, coffee tables, magazine racks, lamps, and more—through a minimalist approach where simplicity and refinement go hand in hand.

“Rather than producing in volume, we prioritize quality, creating tightly curated collections in which each piece carries a timeless elegance. We believe a home should reflect the values of those who live in it; our furniture is designed to inspire and elevate everyday moments. In an interior, design is the finishing touch — and yet, it is often the first thing you notice.”
— Hadrien, founder of KØGE

One of KØGE’s most successful pieces is the Espresso coffee table, crafted from solid oak and combining aesthetics with robustness. In contrast to “fast furniture,” KØGE stands for objects made to last—pieces designed to be passed on, cherished, and kept for a lifetime.

KØGE Design is available online and through a selection of retailers in Belgium and abroad, including The Oblist (Paris), AFC Collection (Brussels–Knokke), Ambertree (Antwerp), Basic.Space (USA), That Cool Living (Barcelona), Mohd (Italy), Industrial Konzept (Germany), Signe (Brussels), Dito (Brussels), Studio Vinkat (Germany) and Idealist (Lasne).

Premium materials

High standards for materials lie at the heart of the KØGE Design brand. From solid wood to premium finishes, the label selects only the finest materials. This rigor ensures lasting quality and an impeccable aesthetic.

External collaboration projects

In addition to its own pieces and objects created in collaboration with external designers, KØGE Design also regularly partners with various Brussels-based architects and studios, designing interior schemes and bespoke furniture. For Seven (Uccle), the studio notably created a large custom green table, and subsequently designed all the table legs for the second restaurant in the Cinquantenaire Park. KØGE also fitted out the café space of Animo – Jubelpark with bistro tables and stools, in collaboration with chef Paul Delrez.

For Kosto, the studio produced custom-made tables and lighting for the first restaurant, and continued this collaboration for the second location, with tables designed together with Paul Delrez and bespoke lighting. Finally, for the cocktail bar Oken—one of its most ambitious projects—KØGE designed tables as well as high and low stools in collaboration with Erased Studio.
