In Paris, a collector’s apartment for rent in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés
Jacob — 75 sqm, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms

Les Maisons CAB — a collection of holiday homes curated with contemporary artworks, avant-garde sculptures, and iconic design furniture from the 1950s to the 1970s around the world — present Jacob, a rental apartment located in the heart of Paris’s historic Saint-Germain-des-Prés district.
Accommodating up to four guests (two bedrooms, two bathrooms), the Jacob apartment was renovated by Belgian architect and interior designer Olivier Dwek. Set back from the bustle of the street and west-facing, it overlooks a quiet inner courtyard, offering a peaceful retreat from the neighborhood’s lively atmosphere.
Spanning 75 sqm, the apartment is organized around a distinctive living space with a 5.5-meter ceiling height and large picture windows that flood the interior with natural light.
Jacob stands out for its carefully curated selection of artworks and design pieces. Each space features unique artistic creations in dialogue with the furniture and architectural elements.
In the living room, a work by Michel Parmentier highlights his commitment to abstraction and formal rigor, reflecting his methodical approach and pursuit of a purified visual language that marked a major turning point in conceptual art. In the hallway, a work by Nicolas Chardon extends this reflection on form and structure.
The furniture brings together emblematic pieces of 20th-century design: a sofa by Vladimir Kagan, a coat rack by Pierre Jeanneret, an armchair by Pierre Paulin, as well as a desk and chair by Jean Prouvé, complemented by elements by Charlotte Perriand.
Located just steps away from iconic landmarks such as the Church of Saint-Germain-des-Prés — one of the oldest in Paris — and legendary literary cafés like Café de Flore and Les Deux Magots, Jacob is fully immersed in the district’s intellectual and artistic atmosphere. Saint-Germain-des-Prés is also renowned for its art galleries, historic bookshops, and boutiques, including the legendary Shakespeare and Company.
