Art Antwerp, the contemporary art fair organised by Art Brussels, is delighted to announce its fifth edition, taking place from Thursday 11 December to Sunday 14 December 2025, at Antwerp Expo.
Since its launch in 2021, Art Antwerp has been celebrated for its cheerful, convivial end-of-year atmosphere. Combined with its invitation-only selection process for participating galleries—curated by the Invitation Committee—this has established Art Antwerp as a true boutique fair.
The previous edition (December 2024) welcomed 15,640 visitors, marking a 15% increase compared to the year before. The fair showcases a dynamic mix of established and emerging artists from diverse backgrounds, with a particular focus on galleries presenting special booth projects.
With 76 participating galleries from 11 different countries, Art Antwerp offers an intimate and welcoming environment that fosters personal connections between collectors, art lovers, curators, artists, and galleries.
This year, the fair is introducing the Art Antwerp Art Advisory Desk, a new initiative designed to guide visitors who may feel hesitant about approaching galleries. The desk will connect them with participating galleries, offering tailored advice and fostering meaningful interactions. Experienced collectors are also encouraged to take advantage of this service, which underscores Art Antwerp’s commitment to creating a more personal and engaging experience for all attendees.
Solo and Duo Presentations: A Deeper Dive into Artists’ Oeuvres
One in five exhibitors has already announced plans to present solo or duo exhibitions, offering collectors a deeper understanding of individual artists’ work. Highlights include:
- Katrien De Blauwer at Gallery FIFTY ONE (Antwerp)
- Kévin Bray & Jen Liu at Upstream Gallery (Amsterdam)
- Maja Klaassen at Dürst Britt & Mayhew (The Hague)
- Luca Bertolo at Arcade (London)
- Gijs Milius at Galerie Mieke van Schaijk ('s-Hertogenbosch)
- Laurence Aëgerter at galerie binome (Paris)
These focused presentations reflect the fair’s emphasis on quality and depth, allowing collectors to explore artists’ practices in greater detail.
A Growing Success and Exciting New Initiatives
“We are thrilled to see Art Antwerp continue to grow in its fifth edition. Visitor numbers have been increasing each year, and the number of participating galleries has risen from 70 to 76 compared to last edition, with 76% of last year’s exhibitors returning. It is not our purpose to grow in terms of scale, only in meaningful connections and international resonance. This year, we’re excited to introduce the Art Antwerp Acquisition Prize, supported by Delen Private Bank, to the benefit of the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp (KMSKA). Additionally, we’ll once again feature large-scale sculptures along the aisles, adding a dynamic visual element to the fair. Beyond a festive fair, Antwerp itself offers a rich cultural experience, with its vibrant gallery scene, historic heritage, and unique lifestyle. It’s the perfect setting for an art fair like ours.”
— Nele Verhaeren, Managing Director of Art Antwerp.
A Richer Programme and Enhanced Visitor Experience
Visitors can look forward to an expanded programme of conferences and talks, as well as impressive large-scale installations and sculptures that will add a dynamic visual dimension to the fair.
Art Antwerp also has a brand new website, offering smoother navigation and highlighting more content to help visitors to prepare their visit.
Art Antwerp is proud to count Delen Private Bank as its sole main partner and will feature a Taschen bookshop alongside a large café and restaurant by KTCHN.
With its vibrant contemporary art scene and rich artistic heritage, Antwerp remains the ideal host city for this growing boutique art fair.

Introducing the Art Antwerp Acquisition Prize, with the support of Delen Private Bank
One of this year’s most exciting novelties is the launch of the Art Antwerp Acquisition Prize, replacing the previous Best Booth Prize. Inspired by the success of the Discovery Acquisition Prize at Art Brussels, this new initiative will donate a work of art valued at up to €10,000 (excluding VAT) to the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp (KMSKA). This prize not only fulfils the artist’s dream of having their work included in a museum collection but also supports the gallery in achieving a meaningful sale while enriching the collection of a key Antwerp institution.
The jury for the Art Antwerp Acquisition Prize 2025 includes:
- Joost Vanhaerents, private collector (Brussels)
- Christian Mosar, Artistic Director of Konschthal Esch (Luxembourg)
- Lisa van Gerven, Curator at KMSKA (Antwerp)
- Annelien De Troij, Curator at KMSKA (Antwerp)
Art Antwerp Achieves Active Membership Status with the Gallery Climate Coalition
Art Antwerp has been recognised as an Active Member of the Gallery Climate Coalition (GCC), marking an important step in its ongoing commitment to sustainability in the arts.
The recognition reflects concrete actions taken to reduce environmental impact: conducting a carbon report, appointing a Green Ambassador, publishing an Environmental Responsibility Statement, and regularly reviewing progress and future goals.
Just like Art Brussels, which has also achieved this milestone, Art Antwerp is now a member of the Gallery Climate Coalition, bringing together 120 organizations, artists, and individuals across the art world who are committed to driving sustainable change.
In line with this commitment, a dedicated talk on sustainability in the arts will take place during the upcoming edition of Art Antwerp.
