An exhibition about ceramics in all its forms and applications

Artcetera and artist and curator duo atelier lachaert dhanis are organising an exhibition about the various applications and manifestations of ceramics, starting 1 December. In their stunning studio and home in Tielrode, Belgum - a former shipyard of more than 3000 m2 that recently got renovated from top to bottom - they are showing a selection of both autonomous sculptures by internationally renowned artists, contemporary table decorations and vintage functional ceramics dating back to the 18th century.

The revival of ceramics has been going on for a while now. Not only has the demand for workshops and studios been on the rise, social media is overflowing with selfmade cups, vases and platters. In art and design as well as in functional objects, ceramics is making a comeback, with a new generation of urban creators and collectors embracing the age-old craft.

atelier lachaert dhanis and Artcetera are uniting these aspects in a fascinating exhibition that balances between craft, applied arts and visual arts.
